Whissendine is a village half-way between Oakham and Melton Mowbray, just north of the road (A606) between those two towns and well signposted with several routes from the main road.

The old vicarage is next to St Andrew’s Church, the tower of which is visible for miles around. It’s higher up the hill than the church; if you go uphill past the church on Main Street take the first left on to Station Road and the gates are first on the left. Here’s a map:

Be warned that if you put our postcode (LE15 7HG) into your satnav it will take you past our gate and about 100 yards too far down Station Road before (incorrectly) announcing that ‘you have arrived at your destination’…
